IBM East Fishkill

Project Description

Installed High Voltage (13,200v) to New Load Center in parallel 6” conduits. Make High Voltage terminations. Installation of 480 volt distribution to N2 equipment.

Name of Project: Clean Room

Installed distribution to clean room equipment. Included lighting, Low Voltage switching, Fire Alarm for new 40,000 square foot space.

Goshen Water Treatment Plant

Project Description

Name of Project: Village of Goshen WWTP Upgrade

New 2.4 MGD waste water facility. Included new primary service with pad mounted medium voltage Switchgear and transformer. Secondary service consisted of a 3000amp custom switch board with integral automatic transfer switch. Stand by power was accomplished through the use of (5) 200kw generators connected in parallel. Secondary distribution consisted of several switch boards and motor control centers (MCC’s) located in various new buildings throughout the site. Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) was accomplished through the use of multiple programmable logic controllers (PLC’s) strategically located throughout the facility. Wireless telemetry was also used in some cases to transmit data. AllenBradley Device NET was used to interconnect the MCC’s back to the PLC. Careful coordination and integration with many different process skid manufacturers and vendors resulted in a state of the art, fully automated waste water treatment facility capable of running in multiple automatic and manual modes.

Port Jervis High School

Project Description

Lighting upgrades to meet NYSERDA requirements. Installation of an emergency generator back up system to be utilized as an emergency shelter if required.

Pine Bush Schools

Project Description

Name of Project: Renovations and Upgrades

Lighting and HVAC upgrades at 7 schools within the school district.

Ossining High School

Project Description

New primary service to pad mounted transformer, secondary service consisted of new 4000amp switchboard and numerous panel boards located throughout the school. Also included was a new second story addition which included new power, lighting, fire alarm, A/V wiring, and category 6 communication wiring.

The Auditorium was also completely remodeled as part of the project, which included a new theatrical dimming system, new rigging with automatic hoist and all new theatrical lighting, including the highly ornamental house chandeliers. Also included in the auditorium was a new sound system, complete with new speakers, amplifiers, microphones, and wireless headsets.

Dutchess County Loop Bus System

Name of Project: New Bus Wash Equipment

Provide power and control wiring for new bus wash stations at the County Loop Bus Terminal.

SUNY New Paltz: LeFevre Hall

Project Description

Name of Project: Renovations to Lefevre Hall

Demolition of existing 3 story dormitory facility and complete rewire; including basement and addition of new mezzanine mechanical level. Project had extremely aggressive construction schedule mandating final completion within 7 months. Work consisted of new primary service and secondary power distribution, all new branch circuit wiring, and new LED lighting throughout.

Fire and Security systems Included, class A fire alarm with mass notification, extensive card access system, CCTV, and emergency phone. Energy management was accomplished using programmable logic controllers and Siemens digital control system.

Telecommunications consisted of single and multi-mode fiber optic back bone, multiple 75 pair voice cabling, category 6 horizontal cabling, and RG6U coaxial cabling.

J&J Sass was the sole electrical contractor onsite responsible for every facet of electrical construction associated with the project. Project was safely completed on time!
